Im Oktober erscheint zu meiner Freude Trevor Rabins neues Album „Rio“ bei Insideout.
Dann kann man sich drauf verlassen, dass das auch wirklich so eintritt.
Während das letzte Album fast rein Instrumental war, folgt nun ein Vocal-Album.

Das Cover hat Trev selbst gemalt und Rio heißt seine Enkelin.

"Big Mistakes"

Trevor kommentiert: „Bei ‚Big Mistakes‘, der ersten Single des Albums, geht es im Wesentlichen darum, meine späten Teenager-/Zwanzigerjahre zu überleben, daher der Text: ‚Wir spielten im Feuer, wir tanzten im Regen.‘ Die ganze Nacht wach, haben wir große Fehler gemacht. Ich hätte das Lied „I Can’t Believe I’m Alive“ nennen sollen.

Ja gefällt mir auch, auch wenn es schon 80er Retro ist. Auf die Demoversion von "Fragile" (ARW-Song) bin ich schon gespannt.

Trevor hat schon vor der Veröffentlichung desoffiziellen Videos das Stück "Pure" hochgeladen.
Bei Intro musste ich gleich an Moon Safari denken, das Intro klingt stark nach einer Mischung aus
deren Songs "Diaminds" und "Heartland" entwickelt sich dann aber anders.
Sollte er sie Live auf den Rosefest oder einem anderen Festival gesehen haben?

Wie auch immer, das Stück ist stark.
