Klasse! Ich wusste gar nicht, dass Billy bereits für Nektar gearbeitet hatte. Bin gespannt auf das neue Album - obwohl ich mir das letzte nicht mehr zugelegt hatte.

Working on the 3rd bass track for Nektar's next studio record.... Start the full production with the band here in my studio Aug 21st !!

Montag 28.05.2012:

Not only did the Nektar bass overdubs go well.. 24 hours later, l was asked the question, I'm making the next/new Nektar record with the band !! They fly into L.A. 3rd week of August and we record/mix it all here at my place !!! Love when a plan comes together, except I didn't plan this one lol !!!

Today was MEGA for me... a long time hero, inspiration for drumming was in my studio tracking today & he played my DW's too Chester Thompson !! He played some great drums on the fusion collective project... I had composed the track with him in mind and as fate would have it... he played it today !!! It is exactly how I pictured it would be, absolutely killer !!! This pic shows CW going over the chart on his ipad !!! — mit Chester Thompson.

In addition to tracking we just hung out and chatted about stuff.. Weather Report, Genesis, drumming... influences (which was a trip sitting in front of one of mine). I used to jam to Weather Report Black Market when I was 12, playing drums and imagining being in weather report (and yes lol). Really was a memorable afternoon... and at the end of the day CIRCA: arrived at the studio to rehearse, Chester hung with the guys for a long while, I felt bad breaking it up so we could rehearse lol... Really kind soul and monster drummer of course !!
