Mir ist erst jetzt aufgefallen, daß das Album genau am Tag meines ersten und einzigen Pink Floyd Konzertes veröffentlicht wurde. Ach Kinder, das waren noch Zeiten

Aus dem "Press Release" zum ABWH-Album (ca. Mai 1989):

After months of rumour and conjecture, the vital elements in what many regard as the quintessential line-up of Yes have now completed work on their new album to be called ANDERSON, BRUFORD, WAKEMAN, HOWE.

The initial tracks were recorded in Paris late last year before the group relocated to Montserrat with producer Chris Kimsey to complete work on the songs. The mixing process was was completed last week at Bearsville Studios in New York with Steve Thompson and Mike Barbiero.

The record will be released in the three standard formats, all featuring cover art by Roger Dean. However, the vinyl edition will contain shortened versions of the songs to be found on both the cassette and compact disc.

Titles on the record are: "Sound", "Second Attention", "Soul Warrior", "Fist Of Fire", "Brother Of Mine", "Birthright", "Quartet", "Teakbwa" (sic), "The Meeting", "The Order Of The Universe" and "Let's Pretend".

The album will be in the shops - worldwide - from Monday, June 5th.

Daran kann ich mich noch erinnern -kann bei uns auch ein paar Tage später gewesen sein- der Verkäufer in unserem gemütlichen Plattenlädle hatte Glanz in den Augen "die is gut".
Ein paar Jahre später war das Lädle geschlossen, der Verkäufer ging zum MM, Langmatte ab, kein Glanz mehr in den Augen.

Promotion-Werbespot für das Album. Das waren auch noch Zeiten, als man noch Musik-Kassetten in Werbespots sah, die nicht von Rolf Zuckowski o.ä. stammten.
Aufgrund seiner knapp 60 Minuten Länge dürften die Herren es aber wohl vorwiegend für das damals noch relativ neue CD-Medium produziert haben.

Ich denke mal, vor allem bei MTV. Rein aufs deutsche Fernsehen bezogen lief er bestimmt das eine oder andere Mal beim Tele 5 der ersten Generation, was zwischen 1988-92 auf Sendung war und am 1. Januar 1993 zu DSF (heute SPORT 1) umgewandelt wurde. In der Zeit liefen da auch öfters Konzertmitschnitte und Videoclips (wenn man Glück hatte, sogar mal "Brother Of Mine").
