Eine wirklich schöne Geschichte und ein klasse Duett und Solos von Steve Howe und Les Paul:

Shivers up my spine !!!

On a day off on tour, I went to see Les Paul play. We spoke before the show & I insisted I wouldn't be getting up, as it was my well-earned day off!

Of course, he did ask me up, I refused saying "it's my day off!"

He & a rattled audience got me up on stage, but then he goes off to the bar ! "Play something,
Stevie", he says!

I played tunes he's famous for--Bye Bye Blues & Whispering--but slightly "tongue in check" as they're more in a Chet Atkins style to start with, but then adding some more Les Paul trills and slides. You see me looking at him, trying to wind him up.

When he did return, I really can't believe what happened! He insisted I start the blues, which is based
on West Coast Blues by Wes Montgomery. I so love what this says about us both, it puts shivers
down my spine! Weird but wonderful!
