Im August des vergangenen Jahres rief Bassist Nick Beggs gemeinsam mit Drummer Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani, Adrian Belew) und Keyboarder Roger King (Steve Hackett) ein neues Projekt namens The Mute Gods ins Leben. Nick Beggs selbst dazu: "I wanted to put a band together as an outlet for the material I’ve written during the past two years, whilst touring with Steven Wilson and Steve Hackett. I'm excited to be working with Inside Out on this very dynamic project." Am 22. Januar 2016 erscheint mit "Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me" ein erstes Album dieses Projekts. Musikalisch erinnern die ersten Höreindrücke ein wenig an Steven Wilson's Nebenprojekt Blackfield, vielleicht nur nicht ganz so melodiös.
