Gerade hab ich mir mal wieder das Debüt-Werk von Jadis, "More than meets the Eye",
reigezogen. Gibt es noch keinen Thread dieser Band?

Auf der offiziellen Homepage gibt es auch Neuigkeiten.
Das 7. Studio-Album ist in Produktion. Die aktuelle Besetzung ist:

Gary Chandler - Vocals, Guitars (Gründungsmitglied)
Steve Christey - Drums (Gründungsmitglied)
Andy Marlow - Bass
Arman Vardanyan - Keyboards

Wer die Band noch nicht kennt kann hier mal antesten.
Ich kenne nicht alle Alben der Band, kann aber folgende empfehlen:

Musikalisch würde ich die Band unter typisch Neo-Prog einordnen.
In der Tradition steht die Band für mich im Erbe von Genesis (Phase 75-79)
aber das muss jeder selbst entscheiden.

Mitte der 90er konnte ich die Band im Doppelkonzert mit Enchant erleben.
Es war damals ein tolles Konzert, obwohl ich nicht so der Neo-Prog-Fan bin.

Ich hoffe die Band kommt nach der Veröffentlichung des Albums wieder zu Konzerten nach Deutschland.

Gary Chandler hat geschrieben:Hi everyone how are ya? I have uploaded another video that was taken during the recording of the new album which is called
'See right through you'. This track is an edited rough mix version of 'What if I could be there'. As far as finalizing the album is concerned, it's just a matter of finishing the words to two songs and then the lengthy process of mixing. I'm going on holiday first coz the weather here is a bit stupid at the moment and i'm starting to get cabin fever. Hopefully I will return with a fresh pair of ears and the ability to swim properly.

Ja, auf der gleichen Tour war ich in Mannheim.
Gary Chandler ist ein toller Musiker.
Die beiden, von Dir empfohlenen Scheiben sind imho die besten.
Understand war auch noch gut aber sonst wiederholt sich nur alles.

We're pleased to announce that Gary Chandler and Martin Orford have joined forces again after a long
absence to play a House concert in the Southampton area on Saturday June 7th.
This will be a rare opportunity to hear a selection of Jadis and IQ material from both bands considerable back catalogue.
They will also be playing a few songs from Martins solo albums and will be giving their spin on a few well known cover versions.

Thanks to everyone who came to our 2nd House gig at Paul Brewers place at the weekend,myself and Martin had a blast and we enjoyed the challenge of shoe horning some unusual instruments into the set.I hadn't seen a Cittern or a Melodeon until Widge brought them along to rehearsals so they all got an airing...aswell as the trusty flute for More than meets the eye.
We played a varied two hour set of Jadis/IQ and Martins solo material aswell as some cover versions of great tunes that we particularly like:
Ripples,Give a little bit,Distant sun,Closing time,Your own special way,Here comes the flood,Comfortably numb.
IQ tunes included Last human gateway/It all stops here/No love lost/Speak my name/Corners.
Jadis tunes- More than meets the eye/Standing still/A life is all you need/Beginning and the end/Follow me to Salzburg/Daylight fades.
