You Had It Coming is the eighth studio album by guitarist Jeff Beck, released on 6 February 2001 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 17 and 110 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums and Billboard 200 charts respectively, as well as No. 96 and 123 on the German and French albums chart. "Dirty Mind", went on to win the award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2002 Grammys; this being Beck's third such award, after the albums Flash (1985) and Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop (1989). Singer Imogen Heap is featured on "Dirty Mind" and "Rollin' and Tumblin'", and would later tour with Beck in 2004.

No-one packages a CD album quite like the Japanese. Known as a culture for elaborate and excessive packaging, their approach to the CD album is no exception. The inclusion of the famous 'obi-strip' not only adds a uniquely intriguing aspect, but is also a great marketing tool for the Japanese labels. The term 'obi-strip' is derived from the name of the piece of wide fabric - the obi - that a geisha woman wears around her waist over the traditional Kimono dress. An amazing amount of information is packed onto this little wraparound piece of paper, often noting special tracks, concert dates, discography information and release anniversaries. And, as this information is intended to be read in the home market, it’s all printed in Japanese kanji and ~kana script! Whilst they are safely sealed on new release CD’s they are often discarded once opened, so they should be considered a real bonus when intact on out-of-print CD’s.

In recent years we have seen the obi-strip occasionally replaced with a sleeve sticker, no less attractive and equally unique to the Japanese pressing. Japanese CD albums often benefit from extra music and new video-style content, to further entice the Japanese public to buy their native release and not an import. Non-album tracks and exclusive mixes often feature and there are a huge amount of 'Japan-Only' releases that do not have an equivalent release elsewhere in the world. Japanese pressings will nearly always include a lyric booklet or fold-out lyric sheet. Und auf dieser Liveaufnahme befinden sich nicht allein diese beiden Herren in Höchstform. Besonders bemerkenswert ist neben Jason Rebello (key) freilich die junge Ausnahmebassistin Tal Wilkenfeld. Man spielt, worauf man Lust hat, von »Beck's Bolero« über »Stratus«, »A Day In Life« und, natürlich, »Space Boogie« bis hin zu »Where Were You«. Hier und da bewegt sich bei diesem Mitschnitt aus dem legendären Londoner Club zwar so einiges – gerade auch der überaus quirlige Herr Colaiuta – am Limit und wird hier und da fast schon ein bisschen zu viel an Geschäftigkeit, aber man kann's halt – und da darf man freilich mal die Handbremse lösen. Material aus Becks vierzigjähriger Karriere gibt's schließlich mehr als genug – und dazu drei Jungs und ein Mädel, die offenkundig verdammt viel Spaß bei dessen Erkundung haben. »Live at...« wird auch als DVD angeboten.

Rock 'n' Roll Party (Honoring Les Paul) is a live album by Jeff Beck, recorded as a tribute album to the late guitarist Les Paul.

The album is recorded at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City where Les Paul played almost every week until his death in August 2009. It was recorded on 9 June 2010, which would have been Les Paul's 95th birthday. The songs played were popular hits from the 1950s and 1960s, including many songs Les Paul played himself. Jeff Beck is joined by Imelda May and her band, in addition to Jason Rebello, Brian Setzer, Trombone Shorty and Gary U.S. Bonds. On some of the songs, May sings together with a pre-recorded voice of herself, imitating the recording technique used on songs sung by Les Paul's wife Mary Ford.

The DVD has been certified gold in Canada as of November 2011.

Für einen exzellenten Gitaristen, dem nachgesagt wird, das er nicht viel selbst komponiert hat, hat er aber eine Menge Veröffentlichungen vorzuweisen!!! Es hat lange gedauert mich hier durchzubeißen. Mal sehen, was da noch nachkommt! :jc_doubleup:
